After finishing law school and clerking, I spent three years at the ACLU Immigrants' Rights Project. While at the ACLU, I worked as a litigator on challenges to three successive versions of the Muslim Ban, as well as challenges to unaffordable immigration bonds, to individual terminations of DACA without due process, to the absence of judicial review in expedited removal proceedings, and to the imprisonment of an arriving asylum seeker for over two years (profiled by CBS Sunday Morning, Washington Post, and Mother Jones; the photo below shows his supporters gathered outside the courtroom before his habeas hearing).
